The Holiday Fun Continued

Last Sunday we hosted a cousin's cookie decorating party and it was so fun.
The kids loved having all their cousins here and the kids devoured so many cookies.
We made sure they ate dinner, before stuffing their faces with cookies, but they still ate their fair share.

The kids all took their cookie decorating very seriously and worked really hard on their creations.

Look at these cuties with their awesome cookie creations.
And all the cousins with one of their cookies. They had the best time and we love spending time together.
This is our cookie set up for Santa.
We will leave some cookies out for him on Christmas eve with our cute sign.
Some of the adult creations

Benson slept through most the fun but he did wake up in time to eat a cookie with the cousins before everyone left.

This week we also finally got our letters to Santa mailed. It was the day of the deadline to get replies so we barely made it.

Benson did not want to let his letter go. He didn't like that he couldn't reach it to

These kids make the Holidays so much more fun. I love it.
We can't wait to get our letters back from Santa.

After mailing our letters, we went across the square to see Santa's sleigh. Another one of our favorite things to do during the holiday season. The kids were really hoping to see Santa there, but he wasn't there this time.
Benson really loved the old "Sam Walton's ride on truck" though. It was his first time riding it and he didn't want to get off.
I did manage to get him onto the sleigh for a couple pictures, but he was a little uncooperative.

We also got to decorate our gingerbread houses this week. This is always a favorite of ours. We all love smashing the gingerbread house on Christmas eve, but we have a great time decorating it beforehand.

I also baked some little gingerbread men to decorate and enjoy.

The kids had a great time decorating their own little houses and then working together to decorate the bigger house. It turned out pretty cute.

I love Tucker's little smirk smiles. They are my favorite.

Cuties with our gingerbread village.
And Tanner with our bigger gingerbread house.
Then today we got to see Fireman Santa. This is a tradition that our cute little city does. The fire department drives fireman Santa around each neighborhood and down almost all the streets so that everyone has a chance to see him. It's so fun. The kids love it.

And tonight we went to our Ward's Christmas party. Our ward was just created a couple months ago so we don't really know everyone yet and this was our first activity as a new ward. It was so fun. There was delicious food, live music and a Santa Visit.
We had a great time.

I can't believe Christmas is less than two weeks away.
