Welcome to Summer!

Since preschool is over, we decided to celebrate. Summer is officially here!
The kids found these little summertime buckets waiting for them after the last day of preschool. They were so excited! The buckets were full of summer toys. There were full of squirt guns, goggles, sand toys and bubbles.

They couldn't wait to dig into these buckets of fun.
Oh I love these kids. We are SO excited for summer!
Today we hosted a "Welcome to Summer" party for a bunch of our friends.
Everyone who came brought something to share, and we had a great turnout.

Here are about half of the kids who came. (There were so many kids)
We probably had between 20-25 kids at this party. So fun!
The hot dogs, juice boxes and cookies were greatly enjoyed by this girl.
It was hard for Tanner to take a break long enough to eat. He's just so busy and wild.
The kids had a great time playing together. We had a sprinkler, bubbles and water balloons for the kids, but the biggest hit was our rock wall/flower bed. Lol. The kids loved playing up there.
Bailey was a big fan of the sprinkler.

Here are some of the kids scrambling to grab water balloons. It was so funny to watch them.

We had a great time with our friends and I loved watching these kiddos get to play with all their little buddies.
Oh and Tucker was a champ and slept through the entire event. Although he was wearing his swimsuit, he didn't get to play with the big kids. Doesn't he look cute in his suit though??

Well now that we have officially started our summer vacation, let the fun begin. No more preschool, swim lessons or obligations. Just summer time fun!!!
So WELCOME TO SUMMER!

Tanner's Last Day of Preschool

Tanner had his last day of preschool today
I can't believe the school year is already over. We've sure enjoyed his preschool. Noah's Ark had so many fun theme days and activities.  He only went twice a week from 8am to 12 pm, but he loved it and so did I. Here is a side by side of Tanner on his first and last day of preschool. I don't feel like he's changed that much, maybe grown a bit taller, but he's mostly the same.
He learned some great social skills and the importance of routines and schedules. I love that he learned how to better sit still and listen, how to stand in line and I love that his preschool had chapel, library and computer lab once a week. He did so great this year.

We are going to miss his sweet teacher, Ms. Brooke. She was such a sweetheart and was so amazing with Tanner and the other kids. She has so much patience. He loved being in her class and looked forward to seeing her each preschool day.
We decide to celebrate the last day of preschool by going out to lunch as a family. We even got to snag Daddy from work and take him with us.
Do you see little Tucker's reflection in the mirror? I love these sweethearts!

It was a great lunch and a great way to end the school year. We are excited for summer and all the fun that comes along with it. Because Tanner's birthday is late, he misses the cut off date for Kindergarten this year. So he will have one more year of Pre-K. He did great this year and we are excited to see what next year brings. We are so proud of him. We just love this boy!

Memorial Day Weekend

Chris was just gone for the entire week, but he got home just in time for Memorial Day Weekend.
We didn't do a lot because Chris was exhausted from his week at annual training and his poor feet were blistered like crazy. We just hung out and it was wonderful to have him home.
We did get to blow up our pool and play Friday evening.
This crazy boy....he makes me laugh all the time with his stunts.
Love him!
The kids love this pool because it has a built in sprinkler. So fun!
Bailey doesn't love it when Tanner turns the sprinkler all the way up, but she tolerates it!
Saturday we watched movies and played with Daddy all day.
We grilled steaks and had a nice "welcome home Daddy" meal.

On Sunday we decided it was time to finally take Tucker to church. We blessed him on Mother's Day but we only stayed for sacrament meeting and we hadn't taken him to church since.
Well he is 5 weeks old, so we figured it was time.
Doesn't he look adorable all dressed in his big boy clothes?

All the sudden he is looking so much older. (Stop growing up Tucker!!!)
Here are my three sweethearts all ready for church. I love these kids soo much!
Church with three kids was exhausting and we all took 3 hour naps after we got home.

On Memorial day we just hung out at home some more. We worked on some little projects around the house and played. That evening we had Aaron, Stephanie and Blake over and grilled dinner.
It was a very low key weekend but it was just what the doctor ordered.
Don't these kids look adorable all wearing red? I love it!

We were happy to have Daddy home for an extra day and we are grateful for him and other men like him that serve(d) our country and protect our freedoms. Happy Memorial Day!

1 Month Post Tucker

We've been keeping pretty busy over the last month. Tucker is a really good baby but even still, hauling three kids around gets a little crazy.
Tanner's preschool is beginning to wind  down and they've been having lots of fun end-of-year activities. Before Mother's day his preschool hosted a "Muffins with Mommy" day. That was pretty adorable.

A week later it was "Bring your Bike" day and Tanner was beyond excited about that. He was even more excited about getting to wear a helmet. He loved it so much!
The following week was "Breakfast at the park" and I got to go to that with him. We walked from his preschool to "David Peel" park with his class. After we got there, the kids got to play for a while.

Then we sat them down at the picnic table and we had breakfast. Here is Tanner and his little friend Addison, they played together the entire morning.
Tanner and his beloved juice box
After breakfast the kids got to play some more. I had so much fun watching this boy play with his little friends. It was some much needed "Tanner Time". (Well, technically, Tucker was there too, but he slept in my ergo the entire time).
Then we walked back to his school and I left him there to run some errands before coming back a couple hours later to get him.

What else? We've been having a lot of fun in the water lately. For FHE one time we played "water balloon t-ball". The kids loved it. Although only Tanner was able to actually hit the balloon. Bailey just pushed it off the tee and watched it pop on the ground.

It was pretty funny to watch.

We also got to go to the splash pad with some friends. Tanner and Bailey love playing at the splash pad and Tucker was completely happy in the ergo.
We brought a picnic dinner and ate it there.
Bailey wore her sunglasses the entire time. Lol.
Love watching these kids have fun!
Sweet Tanner
Crazy Tanner.

After we played and ate dinner we went over to the "Walmart Cafe" and got ice cream.
Here are the older kids - we love the Huffords.
The kid cones at the cafe are just perfect for my kiddos.

While Tanner is at preschool and Tucker naps, Bailey and I have been able to spend some quality time together. I think her favorite of our activities was a tea party. We had lemonade and sugar cookies. Bailey was so happy.
In other new, Tanner and Bailey completely adore their baby brother so much. They are constantly loving on him and asking to hold him. It's so cute.
And Tucker is getting so smiley. It's fun. The kids love it when he smiles in their direction.
Tucker is such a sweetheart. He sleeps really well in the car and he loves his swing. Which is good because as much as I want to, I don't get to hold him non-stop.
But every day at 1 pm, I put Tanner and Bailey down for a nap and then I hold tucker and we lay on the couch until he falls asleep. I love it when he lays on my chest and snuggles me.
And I really love having quiet time while all three kids nap together!

And Tucker turned 1-month old yesterday and I can't believe it's already been a month since he entered our family. We are all so in love with him. He's started smiling more and more, he is having more awake time and he doesn't hate tummy time. He even did a head-flop roll over from his tummy to his back. Crazy kid! Tucker please slow-down and quit growing up so fast!
