Bailey's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to our favorite girl in the world.
We just finished celebrating Bailey's birthday with 7 of her cute friends and it was so much fun.
This year she picked a llama theme for her birthday and it actually turned out pretty cute.

She loved how her party turned out. The balloon cactus was a favorite of ours. It took me a while to get it to look right, but once I did, I loved how it looked.
The party table turned out pretty cute. Lots of cactus and llamas everywhere.
I really loved the balloon cake topper on Bailey's cake.
I made the cookie toppers too, but the balloons were my favorite touch.

These sugar cookies took me a while, but I think they were worth it. Bailey really loved them. I don't love working with royal icing but it does make beautiful cookies.

This candle centerpiece was another favorite touch of mine. Papa and I made it together one weekend when I was visiting. He gave me the wood and helped me map out the candle holes.  Then he helped me drill them and I sanded it all down. I love how it turned out.

I found this cute banner on amazon. I was going to make one but when I found this I fell in love with it. It was a perfect touch.

Bailey also wanted a llama adoption center. This was one of her only requests so we had to make it happen.
Bailey was thrilled with how the party turned out and she loved having her friends over. We hadn't really seen most her friends for over a year. SO this was lots of  fun.
We are so grateful for all these cute friends.
First the girls ate snacks. Bailey loved all the food choices.
Then we opened presents and did a piƱata. .
Then it was time to sing and cut the cake.

After eating cake, we all walked up to the pool and went swimming. The girls had the best time playing at the pool together.

Happy Birthday to our sweet girl. It seems crazy that you are 10 years old.

Summer Fun in Mountain Home

While Chris is gone to Annual training, I drove the kids and I over to Mtn. Home to hang out with Nanny and Papa. Aunt Julieta brought Clark and Danny over too.
We played and played. The kids had a great time being together. We arrived Wednesday and the kids played late into the night and all day Thursday.
Thursday evening we went to snow cones with Nanny and Papa.
Tanner really loved his "butterbeer" flavored snow cone.

The next evemimg, Julieta and I took the kiddos to get pizza at "Pizza Inn" and then we met Nanny and Papa at the lake for swimming. Many of the swimming areas were flooded from all the rain. But we were able to find a swimming area that was open.
Papa brought his aqua pad and the kids had a great time playing on it.
There was a constant course of giggles and laughter. We had a lot of fun playing.

On Saturday Papa busted out the inflatable water slide. This is always a favorite with the grandkids.

Benson got cold pretty quickly and didn't want to play anymore, but he happily watched the other kids play. And he enjoyed making funny faces at me.

We had a great time in Mtn. Home. We had church at home with Nanny and Papa and then drove home in time to meet Daddy. He got home just a few hours before us and we were so excited to see him after him being gone for two weeks. We had a great time in Mtn. Home and loved seeing Nanny and Papa and the cousins. As always, we look forward to our next visit.
