100th day of Homeschooling!

Today we are celebrating our 100th day of homeschooling. I can hardly believe we made it this far.
Sometimes I feel like we started homeschooling a year ago, but other times it feels like we just started.
The kids are doing great. They are learning a lot and its so satisfying to see them make progress. Its especially fun to see Tucker as he builds confidence with his reading skills.

These silly kids loved our glow party. Each kid had 25 glowsticks for a total of 100. They were definitely glowing brighter!

After we had some treats, I taped glowsticks all over the kids and we made glowstick stick figures on the kids legs, arms and over their heads. It was so funny.

We practiced a silly stick figure dance and when it got dark the kids performed their dance for Dad.
We were all laughing so hard and the kids loved our 100th day of school celebration.
Happy 100th day to my sweet kiddos!

Crazy Winter Storm

We just had a crazy winter storm. We haven't had this much snow in years and years. We had a great snow storm when our Oregon cousins were here in December, but this was even more snow then that storm brought. Over the course of about 4 days we got 11 inches. It was so crazy. Not only did we have a crazy amount of snow, but the temperatures were insanely cold. At one point it was -22 outside. Because of the crazy cold temperatures  we couldn't play in the snow for the first few days, but eventually it got up to 25 degrees and we went outside. We had ice and snow and it made for some great sledding fun.

All the kids enjoyed sledding and "snowboarding" on the sled. They were pretty good at it. I fell immediately and Dad did too.

Tucker was really good at standing on the sled and snowboarding like that down the driveway.

Benson enjoyed eating the snow.
Tanner also really enjoyed sledding down the driveway while standing. It was so fun to watch.
Even Benson gave it a try. He shocked us the most and was so brave. He cruised down the driveway and did a great job.

We also built a snow fort in the front yard. The snow wasn't great for packing. It wasn't nearly as good for packing as the snow we got in December. But we did manage to make this fort.

We also made ice marbles one night. We filled balloons with colored water and let them freeze overnight. This was pretty fun and a great way to take advantage of the below freezing temperatures.

Tucker and I worked the hardest on the snow fort and he was so proud of it. Tucker loves playing in the snow!

We played for days in the snow and its been  so fun. We don't often get this much snow so we are trying to enjoy it.

TACO BOUT LOVE- Valentine's Day 2021

Happy Valentine's day! We had so much fun celebrating this year. Valentine's day happened to fall on a Sunday this year so we celebrated at home together.
We had a delicious taco themed party. It was so yummy.
The theme was "Taco bout Love" and the kids loved it.

These cute paper mache tacos were a big hit. The kids thought they were pretty cute.
I sure love these kiddos.

It was a fun little party to style. It wasn't anything fancy but the kids loved it.

I actually loved making this taco banner. The mini tacos are my favorite.

We ate our fill of tacos and everyone enjoyed some root beer too. It's always a good day when the kids get to have root beer.

Oh and we had choco-tacos for dessert. These were a huge hit with the kids. They had never had them before and they loved it.

We had this party around lunch time and we were all stuffed afterwards.
But eventually we got hungry again for dinner and Dad made us a delicious dinner of steak and potatoes. It was so yummy. It was a very relaxed Valentine's day and we had a great day together.
