Tonight we finally got our tree decorated. Chris brought home a tree from "Lowe's" this year because we couldn't get over to the Christmas tree farm in time. But when he brought it home and took off the netting, the tree started to fall and it was very obvious that it was a terrible tree.
I couldn't stop laughing. Seriously- Charlie Brown tree.
Anyways, we let it fall for a couple days until the branches had settled and then struggled to find the best angle- where the tree looked the least pathetic.
Then tonight we decorated it. It looks surprisingly pretty considering what we started with.
Tucker was a good helper and helped Dad figure out which strands of lights needed repairs.
I strung the lights on the tree and then the kids helped arrange the ornaments.
When we finished decorating, Tucker added the finishing touch and added our star to the tree.
Then Daddy read to the kids. This is one of my favorite traditions for the holiday season. Every year I wrap 24 Christmas themed books and then we open on each night until Christmas and typically Dad reads to the kids. They look forward to it every day. So cute!
Now that our house is all decked out for Christmas, it's beginning to feel like it.
I sure love this time of year and all the quality time it inspires.
