Kansas City Temple Trip

Yesterday we got home from Kansas City. It was a wonderful, quick trip with my parents.
We went up Friday after work and drove to our hotel. We got in late and went straight to bed. Bailey and Tanner were very excited to have a "sleepover". Everyone slept pretty well and in the morning we got up and ate a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
Then we took the kids over to Nanny and Papa's hotel room and Chris and I went to the temple.
It was a beautiful fall morning and the temple was perfect.
We did sealings for about 1 1/2 hours and it was amazing. Such a strong spirit and I'm grateful to have a husband to share it with.
After we finished at the temple, my parents brought the kids over to the temple grounds.
We let the kids explore the grounds and they loved it. Bailey kept saying "It's like a castle"
And Tanner kept saying "It's just like the pictures." It was pretty cute.
I was again reminded of how blessed I am and I'm so grateful for my forever family.
They are kinda the greatest...
We snapped a few more pictures of the kids around the grounds. I love this girl. And she loved the flowers and all the butterflies.
This guy is such a stud.
And this boy, he's such a joy
I caught this sweet picture as we were leaving the temple. Pretty cute huh?
Then we drove over to Overland Park and ate lunch at a little Chinese restaurant.
Then we drove over to "Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead".
It's a 12-acre turn of the century farm and it was completely adorable.
These wooden swings were all over the place and the were a big hit.
Nanny and the little boy.
Tucker's favorite attraction was the baby goat feeding area. We got to feed the baby goats with bottles. It was so dang cute. Tucker kept trying to kiss this little goat. I was laughing so hard.
He loved feeding the goats. He also enjoyed hugging the goats, snuggling them, grabbing their tails and running around with them.
Seriously so much love for those goats.
Tanner liked feeding the goats too, but no one loved them like Tucker.
Even Papa took a turn bottle feeding the goats.
Bailey loved that the goats were so tame. They didn't jump on her, they didn't push her. They just sweetly nudged her for the bottle and she fed them.

Here's Tucker snuggling the goats. lol. Seriously the funniest thing.
Then we played on the tractor bikes. Pretty fun.
This was Tanner's favorite attraction.

Then we took an ice cream break. It wasn't hot but ice cream is almost always a good idea.

Then it was into the "Enchanted forest" for a nice walk. Bailey was disappointed we didn't see any fairies or anything magical. But it was pretty.
We played on the playground and then our last stop was the stable for pony rides.
Tucker was too young, but Bailey and Tanner loved their rides.

We had a great time at the farmstead and we will definitely go back.
After the farm we headed home. I'm so grateful my parents were able to come with us to Kansas City. It makes it much easier to enjoy our time at the temple when Chris and I can go together.
And the kids loved getting to actually see the temple in person. It was such a fun weekend. We are excited to go back.
