Yesterday we got home from our first camping trip in NWA. It seems weird that its been over two years since our last camping trip, but for some reason, camping with three kids was intimidating to me. But when I found out we could camp in a cabin I felt much better about the idea.
So we actually invited some friends to come with us and we spent the night at "Camp Terra Rose". It's a campground owned by some people in our stake. They actually host girls camp every year and it's a beautiful area.
Our friends, the Fuhrimans came with us. Jessica and I met through preschool and became fast friends. They have three kids as well, the same ages as our three. The kids and the husbands all get along as well so it's lots of fun to hang out.
The kids were so ready to get out an explore when we got there. This little bridge was scary at first, but they soon got comfortable on it and loved crossing it (over and over again).
Bailey, true to form, found a caterpillar to adopt. She loves caterpillars.
My babies in front of the cabin
Tanner loved sliding down the hills. He said he was surfing.
Tucker was basically in heaven. He loved playing outside non-stop.
Running free and wild
There was also a horseshoe pit, the kids loved this.
Tucker was obsessed with the smoke. He kept trying to catch it in his fingers. So funny to watch.
The kiddos helping their dads start the fire.
little pyros
Tucker and his bud Tommy. (You can't tell here, but they really are best friends)
Oh this boy!
Tucker also had to learn the lesson "fire is hot". He didn't get burned but he had a few close-calls.
Just taking a rest by the fire pit with Dad
After getting the fire started, Jessica and I took the older kids paddle boating. Well I actually paddled, while she took amazing pictures. It was a little difficult with so many kids crawling on me all the time, but we made it across the pond and back.
My legs were burning by the end of the ride.
And we only had one panicky- moment when Annalise thought we might all drown, but I reassured her we were fine and then she was ok. And we all happily crossed back over to the other side of the pond.
Then it was back to camp to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
Then we put the kids to bed in the cabin. We had the kids sleep on the floor in their sleeping bags, and surprisingly they went to sleep really well.
Tucker slept in a pack-n-play and kept covering his face against the flashlight lights. It was so funny.

After a horrendous night, where my kids kept everyone awake, we got up and made breakfast.
Then we got the kids dressed and let them go play. It was about 42 degrees outside, so they had to get bundled up. Aren't they a bunch of cuties. Bailey absolutely adores Annalise and Karina.
Basically, she thinks they are her sisters. She loves them so much
Inside the cabin were two lofts. The kids weren't allowed to sleep up there, but we had to let them explore. We snapped a picture of all the kids in one of the lofts. So cute!
Then it was over to the pond to enjoy the fall weather and explore.
Little buds.
Tanner brought his fishing pole, but we forgot worms. So we didn't get to fish. But this picture was too adorable not to share.
We had a wonderful time camping with our friends. We would love to go again but we would probably have to get two cabins so everyone can sleep better. UGH. So tired.
But we are excited for Fall to finally be here and we are excited for the all the fun Fall brings.
Thanks to the Fuhrimans for camping with us, we had SO much fun!
