Summer Fun

In between the traveling and having family visit, we were able to do some of our favorite summer activities. One of those things, being the drive in theater.  So we loaded up in Dad's truck and for the first time, watched the movie at the drive in from the back of his truck. It was fun!
We saw "Minions- Rise of Gru" and we all enjoyed it.
Of course, we also all enjoyed the movie theater popcorn and sodas. That always makes the movie-going experience even better.

We also spent so many days at the pool. SOO  many days !

We also checked out the book bus a few times during the summer. This is a mobile library that our elementary school sponsors. They drive through the neighborhoods in our school zone and the kids can all check out books and then return them the following week. They also hand out bags of snacks and the kids love it.

We also did some night swimming so we could hang out with Dad. He doesn't get to the pool very often, so we always enjoy our night swims with him.

We had lots of playdates with friends at the pool too!
We went to the park and splash pad.
We were lucky to get some mild days and got to enjoy some fun playgrounds around the city.

Bailey also could not get enough books. She loves going to the library to check out as many books as she can carry. Crazy girl.

We are also obsessed with stealing our friends' babies during sacrament meeting. This is sweet baby London and she is one of our favorites.

Of course, Summertime calls for snow cones so we had to oblige a few times.

Bubble baths are also a must in the summer. So many sweaty boys smelling like grass and sweat.
We also made time for lots of naps- especially on Sundays.  I love my Sunday naps with this sweet man.

We went to the Rogers Aquatic center a few times as well. I'm getting pretty good handling all the four kids alone at the water park. We had a lot of fun there,
Tucker got to go on a playdate with his friend Ivy and they had the best time together.

Bailey finished the summer reading program and earned a new book of her choice, a kids meal from "Slim Chickens" and a few other little prizes.

We also got to go support some sweet friends at their musical performance.
It was a Disney remix medley and it was so fun to watch.
We loved getting to support Hannah and Thomas Marwadel.

Now it's time for school to start and while we are going to miss all our summer fun and relaxed schedule, we are excited for school to start!
