Summer Fun in July

We had so much fun during the month of July. We stayed busy between outings with friends and fun at home. We met all the cousins at the new Springdale splash pad one day and had a great time together.

I love these little water babies!

These water tunnels are always a hit.
We also finally made it to one of the $2 movies at our local theater. My friend April gave us coupons to get in so we actually got in for free. We saw "Penguins of Madagascar" and because it was free I didn't mind seeing it again.
Our local bowling alley also participates in "Kids Bowl Free" so we went bowling one day and the kids loved it. Tucker was especially happy to be bowling. He's so cute!

I sometimes dread leaving the house with all four kids for outings or play dates because it's so hard. But this bowling outing was quite enjoyable. Benson happily sat in his car seat the whole time and the kids had a great time bowling.
We did an indoor camp out one night because we went outside to setup the tent and it was a million degrees. We decided that indoor camping was the way to go.

Oh and no camp-out is complete without s'mores.
Happily, we participated in Chick-Fil-A's "Cow Appreciation Day. If you dress like a cow, you get free food. Basically the kids got free kids meals and I got a free entree. Pretty spectacular. I LOVE CFA!
Also- how cute is Benny all decked out like a cow?

One of my favorite activities from the month was when we surprised the kids and took them swimming at night. Well it didn't look like night because it doesn't get dark until like 9pm and the pool closes at 9 pm, but instead of going to bed, we had them change into their swimsuits and took them to the pool. They loved it. And I love having Daddy at the pool to help me wrangle kids. So fun!
Even little Benson floated in the pool for a while.
Tuck loved that Benson was on a floatie in the pool.
We also went on a nature walk and attempted to feed the ducks. Well we got there and there was  sign posted saying "Please don't feed the birds" so we didn't get to feed any ducks, but we did enjoy a beautiful walk around the lake.

Here's Tanner pointing out the spiderwebs and insects to his younger siblings.

We also got to play on a pretty cool playground near the lake.

Bailey really loved our wildflower outing. We spent one morning picking wildflowers and making a beautiful bouquet. It was so cute to watch their excitement when we would find a different color flower.

Look at those gorgeous bouquets.
We also spent many mornings at the pool during the month of July.
Oh and one of our goals for the summer was to read a book together. We picked the first Harry Potter book and I bought the illustrated novel. This was such a fun read with the kids. We finished the first book and then watched the first movie together. The kids LOVED it!
We also hit up the "Spark Cafe" one day for ice cream. This little cafe is just about the cutest thing ever. I love coming here.

And after eating our ice cream we played around the fountain and the kids all made wishes by tossing pennies into the water.

Isn't Bentonville the cutest little town?
All the feels for these four babies. Love them so much!
We also attended one of our favorite library events- Tommy Terrific.
This magic show never disappoints. I loved watching the kids' faces during the show. There were looks of awe, shock, happiness and disgust. I was cracking up.

The oldest two also got to go to VBS this month. We love attending VBS at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville. It's always such a blast and the kids love it!
We ended the month of July with a "Naturals" baseball game with some dear friends.
We met the Quale family at the Arvest Ballpark and watched the game together. The kids had the best time together. Seriously, they were inseparable and I kind of love it!

Benson got lots of snuggles from Lacey and Billy and the kids were happy to spend as much time together as possible.

We even got to meet the mascot- don't ask me what it is- I couldn't tell you.
Tanner also found a game ball which made his night.
It also happened to be $1 hot dog night so we all filled up on hot dogs. I think each kid had 2 and Chris had 3 or 4. Lol.
Benson wouldn't cooperate for a kid picture, but these three made me smile by looking at the camera together!
Mommy and my only girl.
And these cute friends. The boys played so well and included Bailey whenever she wanted. I love Lacey's boys because they are always careful not to leave Bailey out. They play well with all my kids.
We had a great night together and although I couldn't tell you who won, memories were made and friendships were strengthened.

And that finishes off the month of July. We had so much fun and I'm a little heart broken that school starts in only 2 1/2 weeks. I'm so not ready!
