Boating in Mountain Home

We had the most amazing day on the lake on Saturday. The water was perfect and we basically had the lake to ourselves. Papa rented this awesome double-decker pontoon boat and it was so fun. It had a slide off the back and plenty of space for everyone. We had the best time.
I had to get a picture of everyone feeding the carp fish before we loaded onto the boat. I remember feeding fish from this dock as a kid. It's so funny to watch my kids do the same.
After feeding the fish, we loaded onto our boat and took off for a day of fun.
Tanner was the first one to try out the slide. He couldn't wait and he was fearless.
It was awesome.

He even went down head first. I'm telling you, this kid is fearless.

I kind of love this mid air shot right before he completely belly flopped.
Bailey was a little more hesitant. She needed some coaxing but she did eventually go down a few times.
Tanner probably went down the slide two dozen times, if not more. He loved it so much.
Bailey eventually went down on her own. She did not love it the way Tanner did.

most the kids went tubing. Tucker had no interest in tubing this year. However, Bailey and Tanner had a great time together. They kept asking to go faster.

I love this one of them looking at each other and smiling.

Tuck spent a lot of time in Daddy's lap. He felt pretty safe there.
There's nothing like lunch on the boat.
Tucker did enjoy swimming in the lake though. He loved the rope attached to the tube. He knew that no matter what, he could grab that rope and he would be safe. It was quite the comfort to him.

And Tuck enjoyed jumping off the little ladder into the water.
Even the grownups tried out the slide. It was pretty fun.

Chris tubing with the kids. Impressively, he did not fall off backwards.
Papa got in some good face time with Benny boy too

Benson, Hazel and Danny all took naps on the boat. It was pretty adorable. We parked it and swam while they slept.
This little boy is so cute. He didn't love the water, but we dipped him in a few times to keep him cooled off.
I love this picture. A couple of the dads just chilling with their cold beverages and enjoying a beautiful day on the lake.
Such a fun day on the lake. I really couldn't imagine it going much better. We all had a blast and the kids lasted so long. We got on the lake around 10 am and we left around 4:30. It was pretty great.
After the lake, we ate dinner at KFC. Then it was home to get the exhausted babes in bed.

The next morning I came downstairs to find this scene. Nanny is the best.
And Max and Hazel adore Benson.
Sunday afternoon Papa instigated a watermelon seed spitting contest. The kids thought this was pretty funny.
Tucker couldn't get it figured out quite right and spit out most of his watermelon with the seeds.
Bailey wasn't a huge fan of the spitting.
But Tanner was a seed-spitting pro. His caught some serious air.

It was a great weekend with the cousins, aunts, uncles and Grandparents.
We are making this boating day a tradition and I can hardly wait til next year.
