Our First Visit to a NWA Lake

We finally had an open weekend and decided to check out the lake. We ended up going to Prairie Creek and swimming there. The beach was actually sand and the kids had a great time.
Even little Tucker got in the water and chilled in his floatie.
Little guy loved the water
And so did this big guy!
Eventually it was time for Tuck's nap. So I fed him and laid him under our beach umbrella and he went to sleep. Love this little body!
Oh his face- it kills me
Then we ate the lunch we had packed. These two sure love using their camp chairs.
Then Tanner and Daddy went back to the water to play some more and Bailey and I built a sand castle. Well mostly I built as fast as I could before she could destroy it. She sure loves the sand.
Here is Bailey actually singing to the sand in her hand. I was literally cracking up at her. Sometimes my kids are super weird!
Then Tucker woke up and we all played in the water a bit longer.

Then it was time to head home for naps. These little babes were exhausted and read to sleep. We had to keep them awake the whole way home so they could nap when we got there.
Lucky for us, the weather changed just as we loaded up the van to drive home. By the time we got home, unloaded and closed our front door- it started pouring rain and we had a great thunderstorm.
It was a great day at the lake though. Hopefully we will get to go back soon but our summer schedule is filling up fast.
