Kansas City Temple Trip

So yesterday we arrived home around 10 am from Florida and unpacked our Florida bags and repacked to go to Kansas City. Then we hopped in the car with Benson and Tuck, checked the older  kids out of school and drove up to Kansas City. We arrived at our airbnb around 5 pm and hung out as we waited for the rest of the family to arrive. Aunt Laura was there when we got there and a little bit later Aunt Sarah and her family arrived. The kids loved the airbnb and the fact that we were all going to stay in the house together.
Then we drove to this hole in the wall BBQ joint and got our dinner to go. We brought it back to the house and enjoyed a nice dinner in the backyard.
While the kids and dad finished their dinner, Aunt Sarah and I drove to the temple to do a session together. It was such a nice night and we enjoyed our time at the temple.
We grabbed some groceries on our way home and when we got back to the house, Nanny and Papa had arrived. We stayed up way too late talking.
The next morning Dad, Uncle Johnny, Nanny and Papa all went to the temple while Aunt Laura, Aunt Sarah and I hung out with the kids and got us checked out of the airbnb.
These sweet cousins loved this little house we all shared. We were missing Clark and Danny during the cousin fun, but they still had a great time.
Seriously, I love all these little faces!

After being apart from these kids for 5 days, I was more than ready for some snuggles!

After we checked out of our airbnb, we drove to a nearby park and let the kids play until we heard from everyone at the temple.  The kids had so much fun playing together and running all over the playground.
I always love a good leaf-throwing picture.

After the park we met everyone at Panera Bread Co. for lunch. After lunch we had to say goodbye to Aunt Laura. She was headed back to Utah and it was hard to say goodbye. My kids love her so much and really got closer with her while she babysat them all week. We are so grateful for her!
After saying our goodbyes we drove over to the "Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead"
We explored the old school first.
Then it was over to the gem panning area.

They had so much fun looking for precious gems.

Love these cute cousins.
Then we visited the baby goats. This is our favorite part of the farm. We bought some milk bottles and got to feed them!
Papa had to hold Tucker up because the goats were pushing him over.

I love this one of Tuck and the goat. He was feeding it and then the goat took the bottle and started chugging it on it's own. lol.
Bailey loved feeding the goats. She loves all animals so this was a big hit with her.

Even little Benson got to check out the goats.
Don't you love this fat little face.

Then the kids rode the tractor bikes for a while. This was Tanner's favorite part.
Benson was spoiled and held by everyone.
Tucker couldn't get the bikes to pedal very easily so he gave up and decided to collect acorns instead. It was so funny. He was like a little chipmunk, hoarding his acorns and carrying them under his chin.
Then Papa took all the kids to the ice cream shop and bought them all ice cream.
These kids are so lucky. They don't know how good they have it!
Daddy even fed Benson a little ice cream and he was a big fan.

After the ice cream, we said our goodbyes and we headed back home. It was a quick trip but we had a great time. We really needed a visit to the temple. And the kids enjoyed the time with the cousins, Aunts, Uncle and Grandparents.

Now life is about to get crazy with Halloween. Stay tuned.
