Bailey's First Day of Kindergarten

I'm not really sure how this happened, but my sweet girl started Kindergarten today. It's crazy, but she was so excited for her first day of school. We had a great time at her open house and she loves her new teachers. She actually has two teachers. We met her teacher, Mrs. Sponsler, at the open house but we also got to meet the long term substitute that would be her teacher for the next two months. And since we are only here for two more months, Mrs. Harrison is the only teacher we will really work with. Luckily, Mrs. Harrison is awesome and super sweet. She seems to be just what Bailey needs.
We took some back to school pictures to commemorate her first day.
I love her. We had so much fun taking some pictures, just her and I together.

I love all her smiles and her happy laughing face.
Seriously, that popped leg? I love her!

And we had to take a picture of Bailey in her "shirt to grow with". She will wear this shirt every year on the first day of school, (just like Tanner) until her senior year- when it will hopefully fit her perfectly.

This morning I parked the car and walked the kids into school. They both brought their lunches for the first day and they will both be car-riders- even though Bailey desperately wants to be a bus rider. The school is 20 minutes away, and that without the bus constantly stopping to let kids off. It would take forever for them to get home. So until we move back to Arkansas, they kids will be car-riders.
They are attending South Elementary in Prince George County, Virginia.
It seems to be a good school. We are very excited!
First we walked Bailey to her classroom. She found her desk and was so excited. Then she put her backpack and lunchbox away. She was officially situated and ready to start her first day of school.
So adorable.
I left her there in her classroom with a big smile on her face. I'm so excited to pick her up and hear all about her first day.
