Tanner's class celebrated Dr. Seuss Week this week and each day had a different theme based on a different Dr. Seuss book. Tuesday it was "Cat in the Hat" and the kids each got to wear their favorite hat.
Wednesday was "Wacky Wednesday" and the kids were told to dress wacky and mismatched. Tanner wore shirts backwards, mismatched and rolled up. But he would not go as far as to have mismatched shoes.
Thursday was "Fox in Socks" and the kids got to wear crazy socks. Tanner decided mismatched was as crazy as he wanted to get
Then today, Friday, the theme was based on "If I ran a Zoo" and the kids got to bring their favorite stuffed animal. Tanner of course chose to bring his favorite Gerald the giraffe.
Bailey's preschool class also participated by celebrating Dr. Seuss birthday and they had a pajama day. She was very excited to get to wear PJ's to school on Wednesday.
Needless to say, Dr. Seuss week was lots of fun and he was very well celebrated. Bailey was concerned when the man himself didn't show up for his birthday at her preschool. That led to a funny discussion. Anyways, the kids had lots of fun at school this week and we were happy to celebrate a man whose words brought so many so much joy.
