"Princess for the Day" Tea Party

Over the weekend we drove over to Mtn. Home. Two months ago I asked mom to get us a ticket for this event we saw in the paper. It was a "Princess for the day Tea Party" and it sounded adorable!!! I was beyond excited to take my girl and so was Nanny. The paper advertised the event as a tea party but they would also get their nails painted, get a crown, a book, a free picture and get to meet all the different princesses. You can't go wrong with that, right?
So we drove over to Mtn Home on Thursday so we could be there for this tea party on Saturday.
I had told Bailey what we were doing and we even got her a new dress. She was so excited. We got all dolled up Saturday morning for this tea party. Here is a pic of the us girls before we left for the tea party.
I can tell you, Bailey loved the way she looked.
We got to the tea party and checked in and the first person we saw was "Elsa" from the movie "Frozen".
Bailey was so excited. She immediately asked if she could sit on her lap.
Then she got to get her nails painted by "Pocahontas". She sat so still for it but she kept looking up at Pocahontas. It was so funny to watch!

She loved the way her nails looked.
Bailey had to immediately show her pretty nails to Elsa.
Then she got to meet "Jasmine" from Aladdin.
The tea party took place at a dance studio, so there were mirrors everywhere. This was perfect for my diva. She loved getting to twirl and see her pretty dress in the mirrors.
Then she got to meet Snow White. Bailey went up to her and climbed right into her lap. Then she started giving her a ton of hugs. It was so adorable. She's only seen "Snow White" once but she loved this princess.
Then we sat down for the tea party. Bailey loved it. She even posed for a picture for me.
She really enjoyed the pink frosting and the little tiny sugar cookies.
Then we got to meet "Belle" from "Beauty and the Beast". Bailey LOVES the movie "Beauty and the Beast" so she was so excited to meet Belle. She kept touching her dress and looking up at her face. I was just cracking up watching her interact with all the different princesses.
Then she met "Ariel" from "The Little Mermaid". She wasn't too sure about her "mermaid tail".
Last of all, She got to meet "Cinderella." She always tells me that Cinderella is her favorite princess. She was so happy to see her at our tea party.
After the tea party, we had "story time" with the fairy godmother. Again, Bailey snagged Elsa to sit with.
I love this picture of Bailey and Elsa, in deep conversation.

Listening to "Beauty and the Beast" being read by the fairy Godmother.
Then all the princesses lined up to be crowned.
Elsa presented each girl with her princess crown.
We had so much fun and Bailey was literally in heaven.

I love getting to spend one-on-one time with my kids and this was so special. I'm really grateful my mom was able to come and help me. She took care of Tucker and helped haul the diaper bag around for me. And I think she had fun watching Bailey interact with the princesses too. We were both cracking up as we watched her. She's a fun little girl and we had fun with her!
Oh and just for fun, here are a few pictures of Bailey in her "princess dress". She loved wearing her "princess necklace", "princess shoes" and "princess crown" with her new dress. It was pretty cute to watch her walk around and carefully hold up her dress.

She took the whole "princess for the day" thing very seriously. She really thought she was a princess. So cute!
