The weather turned nice again. It must be spring because we've been having the craziest weather. Over the weekend it was in the high 70's and even low 80's. Then yesterday we had a huge thunderstorm and it was cold- in the 40's. Today its 65 and sunny. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a good thunderstorm every now and then, but we're enjoying the sunshine.
Today we went to the park and met some friends for a picnic. It was the perfect day for a picnic. Tanner has so much fun at the park and that makes it even more fun for me.
I didn't take any pictures today but here are a few from our park trip on Saturday after conference.
Yeah- Tanner goes up and down the slide all by himself.
The weather was so nice on Saturday, it was almost a shame to watch conference indoors. But Conference was amazing and it was a great weekend.
This is Tanner playing his new favorite game at Nanny's house. She doesn't mind the noise or the mess, so HE LOVES IT! He takes all her metal mixing bowls and some pots out and then puts the different lids on them. Its quite loud-which is probably why he loves it so much!
Here is Tanner taking his bath in the sink (don't mind that he's pretty much way too big for the sink). He is doing his "coy" look. Its one of my favorite "tricks" he does. We just say "Tanner be coy" and he does this pose. Its so cute. This picture melts my heart.
Doing another one of his "tricks"- Tanner blowing kisses.
Here are a few of Tanner on his Dad's motorcycle. He didn't want to get off it. He probably sat up there for 10 minutes just pushing buttons and smiling.
Oh how this little boy loves his Dad. Everyday when Chris gets home, Tanner runs to the door and yells "DAAAAAAD!" Its so adorable!
He's also discovered our "flowers" or weeds growing in the backyard. He loves picking the little yellow flowers and bringing them to me.
Finally- here are the pictures that inspired the title of this post.
Is there anything better than a .49 cent ice cream cone on a warm sunny day?
Today Tanner had this very first ice cream cone all to himself. In one word -it was AWESOME. He devoured that thing.
"whoa- this is the best thing ever"
"Yum- Thanks mom"
There are so many nice things about warm weather- the park, ice cream cones, picnics, going to the pool or lake, sprinklers...the list goes on and on.
WE CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS WONDERFUL WEATHER!
How come you never told me about Tanner's "coy" look? That's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen from him. I love it.
ReplyDeleteim pretty sure i taught him the coy look over christmas break:)
ReplyDeletehe is soooo precious! i can't wait to see you all in like 2 weeks!!
I'm pretty sure he might be as cute as I was at his age. That's pretty impressive.
