Camping at Terra Rose

We had such a great time camping this weekend. We invited the Allreds and Fuhrimans to camp with us and it was so fun.
We got there early and and the kids played for a couple of hours before our friends got there.
We love using the little cabin at Terra Rose. It's perfect for our family, but this trip, only Benson and I used it. Chris and the kids slept outside in a tent. 

Since our last camping trip, the owners of the property added this awesome swing. We had the best time playing on it. 

We also brought our bug boxes to collect bugs. 

The owners also added some other playground equipment to the campground. The kids had such a blast. 

We went on a nature walk and passed off some of Tanner's cub scout requirements.

Bailey picked all sorts of wildflowers for me. She's the sweetest girl. 

Then Hazel and Max arrived and the cousin fun began. 

Then the Fuhrimans arrived and the fun continued. 

We set up our tents. Tanner was a big help with this. He had to set up the tent as one of his scout requirements. 

Then the menfolk started on dinner. Chris made a delicious dinner of peppers and kielbasa in his dutch oven for the adults. 

All the kids enjoyed hot dogs and smores. 

These cute buddies roasted so many mallows together.

Benson enjoyed a nice warm bottle before bed. He loved walking around the firepit and stealing all the mallows he could get his hands on. 

Benson also enjoyed sitting in the camp chairs. Whenever he found a vacant one he climbed in and made himself comfortable.

These cute friends ate so much junk food. It was a little bit crazy. So many smores!

That night, everyone except Jessica, Benson and I camped outside. We shared the cabin.
The Fuhrimans made everyone breakfast burritos and they were delicious. 

Sadly, after breakfast the Fuhrimans had to go home.
The rest of us went fishing. 

Daddy also took the kids for rides in the canoe. They stayed close to the shore and the kids loved it so much. 

We also did a lot of snuggling and telling of silly stories. 

Benson just loves his Daddy so much. Sometimes he just wants to hang out with him and not anyone else. 

Bailey is very excited for Aunt Sarah to have her baby in a few months. She loves to snuggle Aunt Sarah and her cute belly. 

After fishing and canoeing we went back to the cabin for lunch. The Allreds made sandwiches for everyone and the kids played a while longer. 

The weather was so nice and we had a wonderful time camping. We can't wait to go back.
