For F.H.E. tonight we roasted hot dogs and made s'mores over the fireplace.
The kids were beyond excited. Someday we may build a fire pit for occasions such as this, but until then, our fireplace will have to do.
My kids are so funny. They don't like their marshmallows roasted, so their s'mores consisted of cold marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. But they loved them..
Even Tucker got to try some graham cracker. His Daddy spoils him...
Then our fireplace dinner turned into a full-blown "camp-in" in our living room.
We let the kids dig out their sleeping bags and snuggle up inside the tent and watch a movie
Just getting some snuggles in before Tucker heads to bed. Tanner and Bailey were so excited to have Tucker inside the tent with them. They love that little boy.
So maybe having Summer gone isn't all bad. It results in us getting to enjoy the luxury of a/c throughout the night while still getting the fun aspect of the tent. I love spending time with my little family.
