Valentine's Day Fun

How cute are these kids? We did a quick Valentine's day photo shoot after school one day so I could get a picture for our annual v-day card.
We used a friend's lemonade stand for the kissing booth and I love how these turned out.

Seriously? Who wouldn't line up for a kiss from these kids?
Then on the Friday before Valentine's day there was no school so we hosted a brunch.
It was so cute and fun. Everyone brought something and it came together so festive.

We had mini waffle shots

Sausage hearts
Then we had pancake kabobs
And lots of pancake toppings

There were also festive fruit kabobs

What a cute bunch of kids.
Tucker enjoyed the buffet of breakfast foods. He was a big fan of the blueberries.
We didn't have enough seats for everyone so some kids had to sit on the floor. I don't think they minded too much.
Me helping Tanner pick out what he wanted to eat.
Yum! Tanner loved the waffle shots.

I just love these girls! Karina and Bailey are the best of friends.
Then after everyone had eaten we did a mini baking photo shoot. We took pics of each sibling set with the v-day kitchen set up. They turned out pretty darling.

Tucker the master baker. I love him.
This was definitely my favorite and the editing makes it even cuter.

I think everyone loved their pictures and had a great time at the brunch. It was the perfect way to kick off Valentine's day weekend. Then on Saturday, Chris took me out for a wonderful valentine's day date. We got dinner and dessert and a movie. It was perfect. However, the next morning which was valentine's day- I woke up with strep throat. So terrible. Luckily my amazing husband took great care of me and the kids. I am lucky I married such a great guy.

Class Valentine's Day Parties

This week has been crazy with valentine's day activities but its been so fun.
We started off the craziness with Bailey's preschool valentine's class party.
Each kid took their turn passing out their valentine cards.
It was so fun to watch Bailey as she got valentines from her friends and classmates.
Her little face would light up each time.

The kids loved comparing their valentines and Bailey was constantly showing me the different cards and candy.
Even the teachers passed out gifts.
Then it was time for snacks
I am so glad I got to be there for her class party. I just love watching Bailey at preschool.
The next day I got to go to Tanner's Kindergarten class Valentine's day party.
It was equally adorable. There was an ice cream bar that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Tanner got every topping possible.
The kids did a heart/hand craft and then they passed out valentines to each other.
Tanner and I made this R2-D2 box for his valentines. He worked so hard on it and he loved it!
He couldn't wait to take it to school to show all his friends.
The sorting is probably the cutest part. The kids were so cute together.

After the party I checked Tanner out of school a little early and we headed home. It was so fun to spend time with each of my big kids. Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays.
So fun!

Winter Visit to Mtn. Home

We drove over to Mtn. Home on Friday night so Daddy could go to drill on Saturday and Sunday. We got to Nanny and Papa's house right before bedtime and the kids were so excited. It took us awhile to get them calmed down for bed.
The next morning the kids played and played in the basement with Papa. They had so much fun. Bailey got to enjoy playing dolls with Papa and that made her the happiest girl ever.
While Bailey and Papa played, Tanner and Tuck enjoyed the bounce house with me. I love these boys.

Tucker discovered Papa's matchbox car collection and was in heaven. He loved lining up the cars in a row.
After the bounce house, Tanner and Papa played on the race track. Tanner loves racing Papa.
It takes some skill to make sure the the cars don't crash and Tanner watches them very carefully.

After playing in the basement we went over to Uncle Joseph's house to play.
Tucker is completely obsessed with trains and since Clark and Danny have a massive train set and train collection, Tucker was a seriously happy kid.

Tucker was too busy playing trains to pause for a cousin picture.
Then it was home for naps. But after naps, all the boys went outside to play on the trampoline with Papa. Bailey was still sleeping- she took an unusually long nap on Saturday.

Chris had a military dinner on Saturday night so we didn't see him much on Saturday. We ate dinner and put the kids to bed. My parents and I watched "Downton Abbey" on Saturday night and it was nice to relax with them.

Sunday we went to church with Nanny and Papa and then we had an early dinner around 3:30 pm. Chris finished with drill early so he made it to dinner and then we headed home.
It was a nice weekend with all our Mtn. Home family but it always feels good to get home.
