Tanner's Band Gigs- THE CHREES

Tanner has been having the time of his life this year, playing in a band called "The Chrees".

They practice once a week or so and then they perform at "The Meteor" in downtown Bentonville.

It's so fun to see him in his element. He plays the bass guitar and he loves it. Tanner is really into 70's rock music. His band plays a combination of classic rock and more modern rock.

It's not typically my kind of music, but getting to see him perform is worth it.
The audience always cheers so loud when "The Chrees" take the stage.

They have also played at the Bentonville square in a sort of "pop up" gig.

They gathered quite the crowd and it was so fun to be there. We love supporting this kid in his dreams. He's pretty cool.

Tanner has been working so hard to balance his school work, high school band practice, church and this band. It's impressive and it's been so good for his confidence.

The first time he performed with the band he was a bit nervous but he warmed up and eventually started getting into it and really rocking out. It's so fun to watch.

They had their gig at the Meteor tonight and it was so fun. "The Meteor" is loosing it's lease so they have to close. So tonight was the sending off for the place. "The Chrees" played and rocked the house. It was a great send off performance.

I think "The Chrees" will continue to practice together, but I don't know where they will perform once "The Meteor" closes for good. I hope they can keep it going though because Tanner really loves it and it's been good for him to have a reason to learn and master another instrument.

Tanner is really musically inclined. He can play the trumpet, the trombone, the baritone, the bass guitar and he's wanting to learn electric and acoustic. He's a pretty cool kid.

That's it for now though. Good luck to "The Chrees"!
