I seriously cannot believe that it's already July. Where has the year gone?
We started off the month by going to watch the firework show at Pinnacle Hills with some friends.
We snuggled on a blanket and watched the awesome show.
Here's Tucker getting some snuggles from his siblings. He looks less than thrilled but he really does love any attention he gets from these two.
After giving Tucker sufficient snuggles, the kids went to sit in their camp chairs. (They love their chairs)
And this is how my kids watch fireworks- notice their hands over their ears?
It was a great show. Tucker actually fell asleep as it started and slept through the entire thing. Crazy.
On the 4th, we started off the day by going to our ward pancake breakfast.
Then Nanny, Papa, Uncle David, Uncle Joseph, Aunt Julieta, Clark and Danny drove over to hang out with us. We met them in Bella Vista for the patriot parade.
They had men in uniform from each branch of the military and men in uniform from different wars. It was kinda cool but very short.
Here are the kiddos watching the parade. They were so happy Uncle David was there!
Oh and this little diva....
Tanner adores his Uncle David!
Actually both these kids adore him. It's a little ridiculous!
After the parade we drove back over to Bentonville and hit up the taco trucks downtown.
Here's Papa and Tanner enjoying some chips and queso while we wait for our street tacos. YUMMY!
After lunch we walked down the street to the splash pad and let all the kids (and Papa) play.
Even little Tucker got a turn in the sprinklers. (He has a little "USA" tattoo on his cheek)
Recognize this guy? No hair and about 20 lbs lighter- Chris and Tucker got to do some bonding.
Bailey loved sitting on the sprinklers. She's so weird.
And my other weird kid, with his face on top of a sprinkler.
Not too bright because then this happened...
Yep, right in the face. I'm not going to lie- I laughed alot after making sure he was ok.
Then it was time for snow cones. Yummy..
Snow cones are even more tasty with these guys
And Tucker enjoyed some Nanny snuggles.
While Bailey enjoyed a kiss from her Papa. (She has a tattoo on her face too)
Then we went home for naps. The kids slept pretty good since they were so worn out.
After naps we went over to Aaron and Stephanie's house for dinner and fireworks.
Aunt Jan and Uncle Don were there visiting from Utah and Aunt Robin and Trevor were over visiting too.
It was so fun to have everyone together.
Stephanie put together this darling 4th of July set up for the food table. She's so talented.
We ate burgers and hot dogs and then it was outside for kid-friendly fireworks.
They loved the poppers.
And the smoke bombs
I think their favorite were the sparklers.
But Bailey wasn't a fan of the screeching fireworks ....
We also got to do roman candles. Bailey loved those
Tanner took this job very seriously. He held his roman candle out in front of him and tucked his head most the time and stood so still. It was really funny to watch.
Tucker was spoiled with all the snuggles. He loves his Uncle David, just like the rest of my kids.
Then Aaron and his neighbors put on a real firework show.
Me and my boys.
This little chubber has my heart.
We finished off the night with HUGE pieces of watermelon and more fireworks.
The next morning we woke up and had a big breakfast. Then we walked over to the pool and played for a while. Uncle David helped Bailey be a "mermaid" pretty much the entire time. And by that I mean, he held her halfway in the pool while she splashed with her legs together like a mermaid tail. She's totally obsessed.
And since I had help watching the kids, I got to actually play with my kids at the pool. Tanner and I had lots of fun.
After lunch we went to eat Korean food and sushi. Uncle David lived in Korea for a year, so he knew what to order. It was super yummy. Bailey and Tanner approved too. They loved the miso soup.
Tanner LOVES sushi. It's so funny. He couldn't wait for his California roll to come.
After lunch we went home for naps. After naps Papa made milkshakes and then everyone loaded up to go home. It was sad to see them go, but we had so much fun with everyone this weekend.
