I just got home from an amazing "Girls' Trip".
I got to go on an awesome cruise with two of my best friends.
We drove down to Galveston on Sunday, the 28th and just got to talk and chat the whole way there. It was a fun drive. We got a hotel that night and then the next morning we went to the port and hopped on our shuttle to board our ship. Here we are on our shuttle.
Then we got onto our ship and the fun began.
Our cabin had a cute little window seat and it was so fun to sit and watch the waves from our window.
Then we were off to dinner our first night in the dining room.
We also had to order some mocktails our first night and we went to the comedy show and laughed so hard the whole time.
Day 2 was a sea day and we just chilled by the pool.
We laid out, read books, chatted and ate all the yummy food we could find.
After showering and getting ready for dinner, we went to dinner in the dining room.
It was delicious again and we got to meet our table mates.
That night we watched a movie at the pool. It was fun, even though we never once got into the pool.
Day 3 was a port day and we stopped in Cozumel.
We decided to go to "Paradise Beach". We paid the all-inclusive price and had the best time.
We got to order all the mocktails we could drink and all the food we wanted. It was so fun.
We laid out, enjoyed the beach and relaxed.
We also fell in love with these swings that went out over the water. The ocean was gorgeous with blues and greens everywhere.
We also went paddleboarding- we were laughing so hard at each other that it was almost too hard to move. We laughed so much that day.
After paddle boarding, we decided to conquer the inflatables.
These were so fun and we fell off about a million different ways.
We were so tired after climbing all those inflatables that it was time to lay out and relax again.
We also went to the pool for a bit and relaxed there.
Then we caught a taxi back to the port and hopped back on our ship.
That night after dinner we did some candy shopping. This was a dangerous discovery and it wasn't our only stop there on the cruise.
We went to another comedy show that night but it was too gross and we ended up leaving, with our drinks in hand.
We decided to go play cards on the pool deck and it was lots of fun.
We loved coming back to our cabin each night and finding the newest towel animal waiting for us. Yes, we are like children.
Day 4 was another port day and we stopped in Progresso.
We didn't have a lot planned for this day. But we caught the bus to the beach and got some AMAZING massages. Legitimately, it may have been the best massage of my life.
We also did some souvenir shopping for our kiddos!
We had a great day and again spent the day laughing and chatting together.
After getting back on the ship, we showered and got ready for dinner. April insisted on getting a picture of me with my shrimp cocktails because I ordered two every night. Since they only had 3 shrimp per bowl, it seemed only fair that I got two.
Also I had to grab a pic with this cute towel crab. It was my favorite of our towel animals
After dinner that night, we were back at another comedy show. The comedian we saw the first two times was back and we loved his show. His name was Jeff Shaw and we laughed so hard during every one of his shows.
Our last day was another sea day and we fully enjoyed ourselves by laying out and reading again.
We all felt so relaxed and it was the best reward for surviving having all our kids home the whole summer.
That last night was formal night and we got ourselves all dolled up.
We had fun taking some pictures together and then stuffing our faces.
After dinner we went to one last comedy show and then spent the rest of the night chatting in the hot tub.
We had a great time and it was so much fun. I think it should be a yearly tradition.
The next morning we docked back in Galveston and disembarked.
We hopped back into the car and started the long drive home.
It was one of my favorite girls trips yet and I'm so grateful for the awesome friends that I have and the fun we have together!
