This Halloween is Part of a Complete Breakfast

I loved our Halloween costume theme this year! The cereal mascots were so fun and the kids loved it and they loved getting their own boxes of cereal. It was so fun.
The costumes were, as usual, a labor of love but they were worth it.
I almost said no to themed Halloween costumes this year. I almost just said that everyone could wear what they could find in their dress up boxes. But then I decided that I wouldn't let 2020 beat me like that. So here is our Halloween 2020!

Tanner was the most handsome Captain Crunch in history. He loved his huge hat and his white mustache. I made his blue top and his hat, but I found some old white pants from another costume and he wore those.

Benson was the cutest "Tony the Tiger" ever. Seriously, his blue nose was killing me.
This was the easiest costume. All I had to do was buy a tiger costume and the red bandana.

Bailey's costume was the most time intensive. I made her wings, her tail and her hat. It took so long to cut and sew all those feathers, but she loved it and that made it more worth it. I think I loved her hat the most. She called herself "Toucan Samantha" instead of "Toucan Sam".

Tucker made the most perfect leprechaun ever. He already has a naturally mischievously personality so this was perfect for him. He loved his costume and he loved it too. This costume was pretty easy. I just had to take in his pants, but that was it.

Chris, again, wins best husband of the year. I ordered his costume on amazon and he wore like the good sport that he is. He was a pretty great "Fred Flintstone"
I was the bee from honey nut cheerios. My costume was also really easy. Tanner took these pictures from me and I'm proud to say, he's becoming a great little photographer.
I sure love these cute little mascots!

Halloween day we went to the "Trunk-or-Treat" I had organized. I invited a bunch of other families and there were around 20 families there. I had marked off the parking lot so that every car was parked in every other spot. And then I marked the walking direction so that no one passed walking opposite direction. Everyone followed the directions well and wore masks. I felt pretty safe the whole time and I feel like it was a great turnout.
Here are the kids outside our trunk.

Afterwards, the kids went over to the cousin's house to play for 1 1/2 hours. Then we picked them back up and we all went trick or treating together. The kids wore masks and waited to approach the doors after other kids had left. We cleaned our hands constantly and it was great. The kids had a great time and I'm glad we didn't let COVID kill Halloween.

This little boy really loved trick-or- treating and kept yelling "free candy, free candy!" over and over. It was so comical.
It was a great Halloween. We had so much fun and the kids got all the candy they could ask for.
I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween.
