Last day of school!

We are so thrilled that school is finally over! Like- we have been limping toward the finish line and we are just so happy to finally be done.
These kids were total rockstars and they had a great school year but we are tired and ready for summer vacation!
Tucker finished 3rd Grade. Tanner finished 7th. Bailey finished middle school and is off to 7th grade next year and little Benson finished kindergarten.

The kids found their annual "end of school buckets" at the front door, waiting for them when they got home.
They had a quick minute to check out their buckets and grab a snack before we loaded up in the car and hit the road for our first summer vacation trip.
Stay tuned for that fun!

That's a wrap on 2022- 2023 school year and I couldn't be more proud of my awesome kiddos!
Now onto SUMMER!

End of school fun

The last week of school has been a doozy.
It feels like each of our kids has a million fun things going on and it's been so busy.

A few notable things were Field day for Tucker & Benson, Bailey's school play, Benson's Kindergarten celebration and Bailey's award's ceremony.

So up first,  field day. I was lucky enough to get to go to both of the younger boys' field days.
Field day is always a blast. Tucker absolutely loves his teacher this year and he has a lot of cute friends in his class, so he had a great time.
Between all the games, races and snow cones- what's not to love?

Oh and Tucker loved the huge blowup bounce houses.

Tucker did ask that I help him win the tug-o-war, so I had to join in a little.

I also got to go play with Benson at his field day fun.
Benson also loved getting a snow cone and putting every single flavor on it.

But I think my favorite event to watch was the sack race. I was cracking up watching those cute kindergartners race.

Field day was a huge success. Both boys loved it and so did I.

Then we got to go see Bailey's play.
She didn't actually perform in the play, but she was part of the stage crew. She spent many days after school making backdrops and costumes and she loved it.
The play was "The Odyssey" and it was pretty cute. It was a more modern take on it, but the kids did great and the backdrops and props were awesome.

Bailey was hardly ever on the stage but at the end, all the students took a bow together.
We are so proud of Bailey and her trying something new this year.

I hope Bailey will continue to try new things.

Benson got to celebrate the end of kindergarten on his birthday. His kindergarten celebration was so stinking cute.
The kids all lined up and they were introduced by class. Each kid got to wave when their name was called. They also sang a bunch of adorable songs. It was seriously the cutest. I don't know what it is about kindergarten kids, but its the best grade.
Benson looked so cute up on the stage with his class.
He did much better than the previous year- at his preschool graduation.
He actually smiled, waved and sang all the songs.

This kid rocked kindergarten. He loved it and he loved going to school every day. It was so fun to watch him learn and make friends.
Benson's best friend was Wesley Preibe and they are the cutest.
But the real MVP this year was Benson's teacher, Ms Goodell. She was the cutest kindergarten teacher ever and we loved her so much!
It's crazy to think that Benson will graduate high school in 2035. Time is seriously going way too fast.
We had the best time watching our sweet boy perform during his kindergarten celebration. I checked him out early after his program and we enjoyed a quiet afternoon at home, eating poke bowl and watching pokemon. Those were his birthday wishes and he loved it.

Chris and I also got a special email invitation to attend an awards ceremony for all the 6th graders.
Bailey received a special "STAR student" award that basically means she embodies all the qualities Ardis Ann Middle School tries to imbue in their students.  We are so proud of our girl. She's headed for great things and we are excited to be along for the journey.

Now the last day of school is tmrw and I can hardly believe it.
We are so ready for summer. Stay tuned!

Benson’s birthday

Happy Birthday to our Benson Boy!
I can hardly believe my babe is 6 years old.
Benson surprised me by asking for a "Pokemon" themed party this year. I wasn't even aware that he liked Pokemon so I was shocked.
But I was up for the challenge and Benson loved it.

I actually really loved the massive Pokeball backdrop.
We had lemonade, pokeball cake pops and cake. Benson really loved all the food, but especially the cake pops.

These cake pops were a labor of love. I don't mind as long as they are appreciated but man- they were a lot of work.

Benson also really liked his cake. I think he mostly just liked the toy Pikachu on top of it, but I was happy he was excited about it.

Benson loved his birthday party decorations and the pokeball balloons.
We opened presents and had cake and it was lots of fun!

Benson loved the tall candles we used on his cake and was happy to blow them all out on his first try.
He's the cutest. We are so grateful for our little caboose!
He is everyone's favorite little buddy and he's the best snuggler. Happy birthday to our sweet Benson Boy.
