Mountain Home Visit

We got to spend a quick weekend in Mountain Home last weekend and it was so fun. We rarely have Nanny and Papa to ourselves and we enjoyed it! Daddy had to go to drill in Jonesboro so it was just the kids and I at Nanny and Papa's. We got in Friday night and we got the kids off to bed.
Saturday morning the kids played outside on the trampoline. After breakfast and more playing, we started working on our spooky cookie houses. They weren't really gingerbread as much as chocolate cookie houses. The kids loved it though.

Benson took this activity very seriously.

In true Tucker form, he worked very hard on his cookie house and it was a work of 6-year old art. He's so cute!

Even Nanny made a cookie house.
Later I ran some errands with my Dad and we grabbed some Thai food for lunch and brought it back for Mom too. After more playing outside and dinner, the kids got their traditional laser tag game in with Papa.
This is something they always look forward to. Every single visit they absolutely have to play at least one round.

Then it was back inside for showers and bedtime.
Sunday morning we had church at home and then the kids put their Halloween pajamas on and we made caramel popcorn balls. We used Grandpa Bill's recipe and it was so fun.

The kids loved using their hands to make their popcorn balls and we snacked on them while we watched "Halloween Town"

I don't know if these kids will remember all the fun they have had with their Nanny and Papa over the years, but I really hope they understand how lucky they are to be so incredibly loved!

Sunday night Dad returned from drill and we loaded up and drove home. We got home super late and it was a long trip, but we had so much fun. I think if we go back for drill again, we will just stay the night on Sunday too and do our school work there on Monday. Now that we homeschool we have that kind of freedom, which is awesome.
