July Summer Fun

After our awesome weekend at the Drake Family Reunion, we tried to get back to life as usual. Chris had drill the following weekend but our life was back to normal.
We spent the weekend while Chris was gone to drill having fun together.
We went to the bookstore where Tanner got to spend his gift card from the orthodontist.  He was given a gift card for being an outstanding patient. They called me to tell me how impressed they were with Tanner's manners and asked me where he would most like a gift card for. My immediate thought was a bookstore. So that's what they did. It was so cute.
He bought all his siblings a book and a couple for himself. He was so generous.
After the bookstore, Bailey went to a stake activity for the girls age 7-11. She got to see so many friends there and she had a great time.
The following week we had fun enjoying time together. We spend a lot of time at the library these days. I love this picture of the kids reading their books together.
The big kids also attended VBS at a local church and they had a great time. We are so lucky to have so many great youth programs at the local churches. This is such a great area.
We also got to have lunch with Daddy at his office. The kids always look forward to this.
Another day we met some friends at the new park behind our neighborhood and played together.
We love that we can walk to the stream and the playground. And the city just announced they are building a splash pad back there too, so we will have even more fun next year.
These cute little boys played so sweetly in the stream.
We also attended our primary water activity and the kids had a blast.
They really enjoyed the popsicles afterward.

Benson always takes hard naps after days at the pool or creek.
Isn't he so cute?
These kids are my world. They drive me crazy but I don't know what I would do without them.

We also played more at the pool. So many days at the pool and it never gets old.
We invited some friends with us and the kids had a great time playing with them.

Oh and I can't forget about our favorite day of the summer.
CHICK-FIL-A cow appreciation day. How cute are these sweet bovines?

But I think our favorite discovery of the summer was the Gravette pool. We had the best time there.
Chris took off work early from work and we packed a picnic lunch and drove to the pool for the evening. They have half price entrance every night from 5-7 pm. So we got in super cheap, we played, ate our picnic dinner and played some more.

We never get to swim with Dad, so this was a real treat.
The kids had a great time playing on the slide. Even Benson gave it a try. He's so wild.

Benson also really loved the diving board. He's so fearless it's actually terrifying.
Attached to the pool is a super awesome splash pad. The kids played so hard. It was a blast.

When the pool closed, we drove over to the grocery store and grabbed some ice cream bars and enjoyed those on the way home. It was such a great night. We can't wait to go back!

At the end of the month, we finally got to buy treats from the ice cream truck.
The kids have been begging all summer but it always comes during bath time or when they were already in bed. But i was able to schedule a time and the ice cream truck came back after dinner and the kids were thrilled.

We also got to see Tommy Terrific the magician at the library with all the cousins.
They were laughing so hard. It was so cute to watch them all together.

Tommy Terrific is one of our favorite summer programs at our library.
The kids always love it.
After wards, we grabbed free lunches and enjoyed them on the patio at the library.
How cute are all these little cousins? I love them all so much!

We had a blast during the month of July and I'm sad it's over because that means we are one month closer to school starting and I'm not ready for that.
But lets focus on the positive. So much fun this last month.
