Florida Vacation Part 3- Legoland and Geogia

Thursday morning we left Orlando and drove down to Winter Haven, FL for a fun side trip.
We checked into the Legoland Hotel and the kids immediately fell in love.
The rooms were awesome, the lobby had a lego pit to play in and a huge lego castle to play in.
It was seriously so cute. Even the outside of the hotel was perfectly decorated.

We had to take pictures at the entrance.

Once we took our pictures, we changed into our swimsuits and then went to play in the waterpark at Legoland. The waterpark was so fun. We only had about 3 hours to play, but that was perfect. It was hot and humid and the water was just what we needed.
We played in the lazy river, the wave pool, we built lego boats, the kids did the slides and squirt guns. It was lots of fun.
Here are the kids in front of the lazy river. The rafts had lego pieces that you could build onto. It was cool.

The boys all really liked building their own lego boats and then racing them.

The wave pool is always a favorite!

The water slides were pretty fun for the kids too. I didn't ride them, but it was so fun to watch them having fun.

The kids loved playing on the little islands at the wave pool and building with the massive floating legos. This place was so cool!

Before leaving the park, we stopped to get some ice cream and we walked around Minifig City. It was so cool.

After playing, we went back to the hotel to change and then we went across the street to get some Mexican food. It was a busy place but we got a table big enough for everyone and ate a delicious dinner.
Then we went back to the hotel. We got to meet one of the lego characters in the lobby.
Then we went upstairs to get our PJs on for the pajama dance party. The kids played in the lobby and had so much fun together.

Eventually they invited the parents to come join the dance party and that's how we ended the dance party.

We had so much fun. We played hard and we fell asleep pretty quickly that night. However, the kids were pretty thrilled to sleep in our "pirate" themed room that night. The room even had a treasure hunt complete with a lego treasure in a safe that we got to search for. The room was so cool and the kids loved their lego pajamas I had made for them.
Legoland didn't open until 10 am the next morning so we got to sleep in and then eat breakfast at the hotel the next morning. The breakfast was amazing. They brought out a huge platter of all the breakfast foods you could imagine. It was so good.
We got ready and made our way to the park entrance for our last day of park fun.
We explored the entire park and rode all the rides we wanted. It was so fun.

We had a blast riding the rollercoasters and other rides. Everything was small enough for Benson to ride too and that was so fun. Benson was a good sport at Universal but this park was made for smaller kids and it was fun to watch Benson be brave and ride all the rides.

Benson used some of his hard earned money to buy this ninjago sword.
The safari ride was so cute. It wasn't fast paced or anything, but the lego animals were amazing.

Then we went to"driving school" and the kids all drove lego cars around.

Tanner really loved the Lego car replicas.
We also got to see a water stunt pirate show and meet the pirate crew afterward.

We ate lunch together and got to cool off. Then we went to ride more rides.

I really couldn't believe how brave Benson was. He loved riding the roller coasters and he was so funny and always wanted his hands up in the air.

Bailey really loved the princess lego statues. They were so cool!

These kids looked so cute in their matching shirts.

We also got to meet "Emmett and Lucy" from the "Lego Movie"

Then we went to the big Lego store to get our souvenirs.
The kids had all saved money to buy lego sets at the park. They had a great time shopping and picking out their lego sets.
This picture of the big boys at the lego store cracks me up

We had so much fun together. I seriously love these shirts. They were my favorite shirts to make for the trip.

We left the park, went back to the hotel and packed up the van. We said our goodbyes to our cousins and then hit the road to start the long drive home. We had the best week with the cousins and it was such a great trip!

We drove to a bordering town in Georgia and got a hotel. The next morning we drove to Ocmulgee Mounds National Park and explored there. It was really cool. There were mound dwellings from thousands of years ago. The kids completed the junior ranger program and earned their badges. It was fun and Georgia is beautiful.
The kids loved learning about their culture and religion. It was pretty neat.

After exploring the park, we hit the road again and drove the rest of the way home. We had such a great time. It was hard to come back to reality but now we only have a month of school left!
