Happy Halloween! We had so much fun with our family theme this year. It took us a little while to figure out our theme this year, but once we did- we were all in. My kids still enjoy watching Scooby Do and so this theme was great for us.
So here was our run down of costumes- Benson was Scooby Do. Tucker dressed up as Shaggy. Bailey was dressed as Velma and Tanner dressed up as Fred. I dressed up as Daphne and Chris was our Mystery Machine.
Sometimes it feels like we've done all the fun family themes for Halloween but then we will think of something and it comes together. Steph Lanoy came and met us downtown to take pictures for us. I was so grateful for her.
So without further adieu, here are our Halloween pics this year.
On the day before Halloween, Benson decided he didn't want to wear his Scooby Do costume to school. He was worried he would get teased for being a "furry" - which is just ridiculous. I can't believe kids would tease over such stupid things. But since I didn't want him to get teased we put together another costume. He really wanted to be an invisible man so we threw it together. I think it turned out pretty well. He wore it to school and everyone loved it.
The rest of the kids didn't wear costumes to school today. I also got to go Benson's class party today. It was hilarious watching him function in his classroom in his costume. We eventually had to take his hat off so he could see.
Then tonight we had our Drake cousins over, since they recently moved back to NWA. We all ate dinner together and then set off to "Trick or Treat" together. Bailey actually met up with some friends after about 20 minutes with us and Tanner left us for his friends about 40 mins in. But we had alot of fun together. We trick-or-treated the entire neighborhood of Tuscany and the kids got so many full size candy bars.
I also got a sweet visit from my friend Jade and her adorable family. I absolutely adore her boys and I was so glad they wanted to come trick-or-treat at our house.
After we finished trick-or-treating, we had our Lanoy cousins and our Drake cousins over to stay the night. First we had to go to "Andy's" to get our free one-topping sundaes. The kids were so happy with their ice creams.
Then we went back to our house and the kids watched "Sonic the Hedgehog" and hung out until bedtime.
I think it was a pretty successful Halloween and we really enjoyed having so much family around to hang out with. Happy Halloween from Mystery Incorporated!
