Christmas is in full swing. We've enjoyed lots of holiday events already and I have to say, I love Christmas time in NWA.
As much as I love going to fun events, I really love the Christmas scene in my own house.
The mantle and Christmas tree make me so happy. I love settling in each night after the kids go to bed and watching TV or reading in front of my tree with a fire going. So cozy!

It was fun to watch the kids decorate the tree this year.
Sweet babies in front of the tree.
Love these kids.
We also went ice skating in Bentonville. During the summer this little rink is a "Splash pad" with sprinklers, but during the winter, they turn it into a ice skating rink. It was pretty inexpensive.
They had little walkers for the kids. It was hysterical. They looked like miniature senior citizens waddling around the ice. I was cracking up. Bailey was so proud of herself. She kept saying "This is crazy. I ice skating!!!" She's so funny!

Tanner was a little nervous to let go of his walker and hold onto the railing.
Chris left work an hour early on Thursday so we could drive up to Silver Dollar City in Branson.
It was a great night to go because it was not a weekend and it was still early enough before Christmas that it wasn't too crowded.

Tanner really like riding around in the stroller. Such a weirdo!
The first thing we did, once inside the park, was watch the Christmas parade. The kids loved it.
We got to see Santa, Frosty, a jack-n-the-box and the ending float was a nativity.
I love that SDC ends their Christmas parade with the Savior. It's so refreshing.

Then we rode the Christmas train. Here's Bailey waiting for the train at the depot.
A family picture before boarding the train.
The Christmas train is a sing-a-long train. So we had fun singing lots of Christmas Carols- Bailey loved it!
The train takes you all around the park and you see all 5 million lights. So awesome. But halfway through the ride, the train stops and they do a nativity reading. The kids were intrigued with the light-up nativity.
After the train we rode the Carousel at Half-Dollar Holler. The kids love this carousel.
After the carousel we caught the tail-end of the "Frosty the Snowman" show and got a picture with the cast.
Then we left the park and went to eat dinner at iHOP. So delicious.
We arrived home late and really enjoyed our night at SDC.
We still have a few more fun activities before Christmas, so stay tuned.
