(Tanner liked that) and then we made these ghost cookies.

Did some water coloring painting pictures and colored some Halloween pages. Then we did the "5 little pumpkins" poem and he rolled pumpkins across the floor to me. Then we carved this pumpkin. Tanner used the carving tool with my help. He's so proud of his pumpkin. We went into the bathroom where it was dark and put a candle inside of it. His face was priceless. Love this little boy!

(He's getting really good at free-handing the letter "I") then we did some pre-writing worksheets. After that we played an ice cream cone sizing game. He put the ice cream cones in order by size. Then we used felt ice cream scoops and a cone and followed patterned cards to copy the ice cream cone patterns. Then we made a ice cream cone coloring book. We did an ice cream play dough parlor-(HUGE hit with Tanner, he made me some delicious look ice cream cones) and then to top it off, we made home made ice cream in a bag. YUM!

Well he placed all the ones he didn't shove into his mouth. (Awesome marsh mellow breakfast...)
I is for Insect. Even though we already did a "bug" unit, I couldn't help myself. Tanner LOVES bugs so this was perfect. We learned about the letter "I". We traced the letter "I" and then talked about different insects. We played a matching... game with lady bug spots and then we acted like different insects ( jump like a grasshopper or wiggle like a worm). Then we sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Bringin Home a baby Bumblebee" and at the end we made these awesome "Ding Dong Spiders". Tanner got to eat his and then I made about a dozen more for our church Halloween party tomorrow. Tanner loves his spider!
Halloween is tomorrow and we are so excited.
After that we start a new month and a new week of Preschool. I think preschool is going great. Tanner seems to be loving it and can sing his ABC song almost by himself. LOVE seeing the progress he's making!
