Last Day of School = PARTY!

Today was the last day of school. The kids partied and had a great last day.
I can hardly believe that school is over and I'm so excited to start summer vacation and get to hang out with these cute kids so much!
Here are the kids' end of school pictures. First I'll give a side by side comparison of the first and last day
Hasn't he changed so much? Ahhh stop growing!

Now here is Bailey's side by side. First and Last day of First Grade.
She's so much taller and her face has changed. It breaks my heart!!

I love these two and their friendship. Their relationship has changed this year. They aren't so much Big Brother/Little Sister as much as they are friends and equals. Tanner doesn't have to watch out for Bailey as much and they enjoy a lot of the same books. They have a lot of fun playing together but the dynamics have changed this year and its been fun to watch. I love these two!
Seriously? I love them!

Tucker was so excited for the kids to get home today so they could get their "Welcome to Summer" buckets. These buckets have become a tradition with us and it's pretty fun.
The buckets have bubbles, sandals, a book, candy, chalk and more. It's a fun way to kick off summer with some of our favorite things.

Then tonight we had all our cousins over for a fun outdoor movie night.
Each year we've hosted an end of school party, and this year was no different.
I love how it came together. We had all the typical movie treats and watched "The Greatest Showman". My kids love that movie and it was the perfect cool night for an outdoor movie.

How much do you love these "popcorn" cupcakes. They are marshmallows. They were a hit.
Kicking off summer in the best way. We just wish Daddy was home to celebrate with us. Only two more days!
So many cute cousins!
It's showtime!!!
The kids loved their movie snack trays. They were a huge hit with all the cousins. They filled the trays with popcorn, candy and drinks.

It was such a great night and the perfect way to kick off summer.
I'm seriously so excited for summer and all the fun it will bring.
Welcome Summer! We are ready for you!

Tanner Earns his Wolf Badge

Tonight my sweet Tanner earned his wolf rank in cub scouts. He received his wolf badge and got to pin a wolf pin on me. I'm so proud of this sweet boy and all his hard work.
He really did love working on his work badge and he loves cub scouts.
I've enjoyed watching this boy learn and grow over the last 9 months since entering cub scouts.

He is so proud of his new rank. It's pretty adorable.
Dad is gone for annual training so we took a picture for him.
We sure love this kid. He's such a great one!

Strawberry Picking & Fun in Fayetteville

This morning we decided to wake up early (well not me, just the kids) and head down to Fayetteville to pick some strawberries. Aunt Sarah went with her family last week and they found a super cute urban farm right in downtown Fayetteville. So she met us there and we had fun together.
Tucker took his job picking berries very very seriously. He only wanted the best berries.
He looked everywhere and grabbed the reddest most gorgeous berries.
Bailey picked her fair share too, but also enjoyed playing with her little cousin Hazel. She just adores her.

Tanner searched for the biggest berries he could find.

These little berry pickers did such a great job. We finished within 15 mins and it was so nice. We were able to get there, pick our berries and be done before it got too hot.
Oh and this cute boy was happy to gnaw on a berry and watch all the commotion around him.
The cousins really enjoyed looking at the baby chicks and hanging out together.
We really enjoyed this new little family farm. Reagan Family Farm- we will be back!

After picking berries we went over to "Wilson Park" with the cousins.
Somehow, after living here for 5 years, we'd never been to this park. It looks like a castle and the kids had so much fun playing together. It's not a big park but we played for about 45 mins before moving on to the other playgrounds.

After our morning adventures, we came home and ate lunch and then took naps. Then we made a delicious fruit pizza with our freshly picked strawberries.

The kids loved helping make the pizza and it was greatly enjoyed.
We are one week into the two weeks without Daddy and we are doing ok. After Tucker got over his strep and Tanner stopped throwing up, we started feeling better and we are doing much much better now. One week left! We can't wait to see Daddy!
